NOTE: This is a temporary website, Local Native Artisan's Official Website is currently under construction.
Local Native Artisan is a manufacturer, not a retailer. Our products are available for purchase at markets, affiliate stores, or through phone/email orders. Shipping costs will vary based on the size of the order and will be shipped via UPS or USPS. Only within South Carolina borders.
I target retailers and resellers, offering wholesale and contract manufacturing services. I market and network with local farmers to source local ingredients. At the markets, I build one-on-one relationships with patrons and vacationers, allowing me to handle the necessary legwork for my wholesale and retail affiliates to provide tested and proven quality products.
I will be offering Soap Art, overstock, irregular and bulk items in the future. I do not intend to offer individual items. If you are interested in opening your own online store and reselling Local Native Artisan creations, please let me know. This would require a pre-purchase payment. I do not offer consignment.
This service is similar to a custom order but on a larger scale. For instance, if you are a beekeeper looking to incorporate your honey and beeswax into soaps and skincare products for your store, craft shows, or farmers market, I can create a tailored product for you using specific oils, butters, herbs, extracts, etc. I will calculate, formulate, and produce the product according to your requirements. Please note that I do not currently offer private label services.

Fortunately, I have not had to deal with this issue. In-person sales are great because we can interact face-to-face. If I sense that a customer is not satisfied, I simply offer them other products to try out. In other words, if I know you are not happy with your purchase, I make you my human guinea pig (patrons say they love it). This may not be the most professional approach, hence the reason for it being "under construction". Note: Wholesale accounts have agreements in place.
First-time use of real soap typically requires a longer priming process. Use a cloth, soap pouch, loofah, or sponge to lather the soap, which will likely result in using less soap. Avoid direct sunlight and never let the soap sit in water, as it will quickly dissolve. Use a well-draining soap dish or a hangable soap pouch to store the soap between uses.
Local Native Artisan bars are versatile and can be used for various purposes, except for exfoliating bars. They can be used on the hair and all over the body. To create liquid soap, you can shred the bars and add the shreds to hot (not boiling) water using a ratio of 1:1, 1:1.5, or 1:2. Stir well allowing the soap to melt and mix with the water.
Local Native Artisan soap can be stored for up to 60 days if securely wrapped in freezer paper. It can also be refrigerated for an extended period. However, it is important to note that not all soaps can be placed in the freezer. It is recommended to check with the manufacturer before attempting to freeze the soap.
Local Native Artisan Body Butter will melt in direct sunlight and begin to soften at temperatures above 90 degrees Fahrenheit. There is NO preservative in the body butter, therefore, DO NOT introduce moisture. Use clean, dry hands or a scoop. I recommend the same for lotions and creams, even though a broad-spectrum preservative is used in the formulation.
Thank you for your time, consideration, patience, and most importantly your support! Sincerely, Monnie - Creator - Soap Artist
